America faces a stark choice: either eliminate Iran now or accept strategic defeat

We now face a specific question, not whether this conflict is difficult, but rather whether the West has the discipline necessary to carry this conflict to the right conclusion.
This is the backdrop to this weekend’s negotiations in Islamabad, as Pakistan hosts US-Iran talks amid a fragile ceasefire and continuing tensions around the Strait of Hormuz.
The talks will reveal whether Tehran is ready to back down from the confrontation or is just maneuvering to buy time.
Why Trump and Iran appear to be light years away from any potential deal to end the war
The only thing President Trump should do immediately is announce that we, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates United Arab Emirates The UAE will work together to build high-speed pipelines that bypass the Strait of Hormuz. Insightful energy and technology expert Mark P. Mills puts forward this idea in an article that can be found at city-journal.org, noting that such pipelines could be built within months.
As for the question about what? Iran’s actual motives Hey, that’s a bogus question. After 47 years of existence, we should already know the answer. This murderous terrorist regime clings tightly to its ugly, extremist and distorted version of Islam. He is disgustingly corrupt, which makes his pious attitude even more disgusting.
But make no mistake, it is not backing down from its goal of imposing its ugly ideology on the Arab Middle East, eliminating Israel, and, ultimately, bending the United States and Europe to its will. This all seems completely delusional, which leads many people to believe, deep down, that these people cannot be so deviant, and that they can be persuaded to reach practical agreements that would clearly benefit Iran financially.
Surely this delusional logic goes, after the massive bombing of Iran and the elimination of almost the highest levels of its leaders, the surviving officials must realize the error of the regime’s ways and see the light in making a deal with the United States.
You can just see our negotiators imploring the mullahs to imagine all those new hotel towers Tehran could have and perhaps the fees (which would be shared with us) the government could collect from ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz if the regime gave up all its enriched uranium, abandoned any nuclear ambitions, cut off aid to its terrorist proxies like Hezbollah, and promised never to make longer-range, lethal drones and missiles again. And maybe, as a bonus, Iran will get a special, low rate on customs duties!
Happy days are here again!
Iran’s remaining weapons: How Tehran can continue to disrupt the Strait of Hormuz
dream on.
These cheetahs do not change their stripes. They smell victory. Despite the military strikes, they believe they have a strong trump card with the ability to do so Shut down shipping In the Strait of Hormuz. Among other things they believe they have is the ability to cause massive damage to oil facilities in neighboring countries, thanks to precise targeting information provided by Russia and China. They are aware of the administration’s great sensitivity to the rise in gasoline prices with the upcoming midterm elections.
They are well aware of Asia’s huge dependence on the oil that must pass through the Strait of Hormuz to be delivered, and how shortages and rising prices resulting from the war are affecting their economies. They are happily aware of the unpopularity of the war in many European countries.
Whatever happens this weekend and whatever President Trump threatens, Tehran is convinced that its regime will survive. Survival would be seen as a massive victory given the scale of air attacks from the United States and Israel.
The rest of the world will view the regime’s survival as a huge strategic and historic defeat for the United States, and our credibility will be blown to shreds with deadly future consequences for China, Russia, and Russia. north korea.

The West has often distorted the truth: Iran’s ruling theocracy is not just another hostile regime. Its ambitions are frightening to the existence of the civilized world. This is not a moment for illusions. Iran’s rulers have long benefited from the West’s preference for delay, ambiguity, and half-measures.
A ceasefire could calm the headlines. Diplomatic statements can create the appearance of progress. Limited understanding can buy time. But none of this changes the basic fact: A pause that leaves Tehran with meaningful influence is not a settlement. It’s a reprieve. There will come a big problem, the likes of which the world has not seen since the 1930s before World War II.

Given the scale of the risks involved, the future path is clear for the United States. It must abandon the illusion that Iran is willing to give up on fundamentals. We must prepare ourselves for the resumption of hostilities.
Let the Pentagon and Israel continue Hit the intended targetswhich may take several more weeks. Cutting off Iranian oil shipments to the rest of the world, which primarily means China. And build those pipes!
It is still possible to turn looming defeat into a resounding victory for the free world.
