The US Embassy says all known US citizens have been released from detention in Venezuela

All known US citizens are in custody In Venezuela The US embassy said on Friday evening that they had been released.
“We are pleased to confirm that the interim authorities have released all known US citizens detained in Venezuela,” the embassy wrote on the X website. “If you have information regarding any other US citizens who remain in detention, please contact US Citizen Services,” she added.
No other details about the detainees were revealed. Fox News Digital has reached out to the State Department.

Interim authorities have slowly released American detainees in the weeks following the US arrest of former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife.
They are both detained New York City On federal terrorism and drug charges.
Earlier this month, Venezuela’s interim government reported that 116 prisoners had been released, though only about 70 prisoners had been verified by the NGO Justicia, Encuentro y Perdón, according to Bloomberg.

Earlier this month, the US government announced Travel alert Warning against traveling to the country. Americans in the country were advised to leave immediately.
“The security situation in Venezuela remains volatile. The U.S. Embassy in Bogotá, Colombia, warns U.S. citizens against traveling to Venezuela, and reiterates travel warnings for Venezuela dating back to 2019. As international flights resume, U.S. citizens in Venezuela should leave the country immediately.”
The country is run by Acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez, a former lieutenant of Maduro.
This week, Rodriguez signed a law to reform the country’s oil sector, opening it to privatization and reversing the basic policy of the socialist government that has ruled Venezuela for more than two decades.
