Steve Witkoff meets with the Russian envoy in Florida to talk about peace efforts in Ukraine

US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff He said he held “productive and constructive meetings” with Russian special envoy Kirill Dmitriev as part of the Trump administration’s ongoing efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
“We are encouraged by this meeting because Russia is working to achieve peace in Ukraine and we are grateful for (the President’s) decisive leadership in seeking a lasting and lasting peace,” he added. Witkoff wrote on X.
During Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, Witkopf said progress had been made and that there were “a lot of good things happening between counterparties discussing the land deal.”

Witkoff, Kushner and Gruenbaum also met with Putin earlier this month in Moscow shortly after the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Following the meeting in Moscow, Vitkov, Kushner, Grunebaum and other US representatives met with negotiators from Ukraine and Russia. The talks were said to be constructive, although obstacles to peace remained.
