Los Angeles 2028 Olympics president apologizes for Ghislaine Maxwell emails

The release contained emails between Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell. But Wasserman now claims he never had any relationship with Epstein.

The statement read: “I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell which occurred more than two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light. I had no personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. As is well documented, I went on a humanitarian trip as part of a delegation with the Clinton Foundation in 2002 on Epstein’s plane. I am deeply sorry to have had any association with either of them.”

Wasserman’s emails to Maxwell, dating back to 2003, included the phrases “Where are you, I miss you” and “Can we book this massage now?” Wasserman was married at the time. In 2021, Wasserman divorced his wife, Laura Ziffrin Wasserman, after 20 years of marriage.

Maxwell replies To Wasserman he included the phrases, “All this friction—are you sure you can handle it? The thought frankly makes me a little breathless,” and “There are some points which seem to drive a man mad—I suppose I could practice it on you and you could tell me whether it works or not?”

Epstein was found dead in a federal prison cell in Manhattan on August 10, 2019. He was later ruled a suicide. He faces up to 45 years in prison for crimes related to sex trafficking of minors.

In 2021, Maxwell was convicted of five counts of sex trafficking and abuse of minors. She is serving a 20-year prison sentence.
