The former UK ambassador to the US has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office
London’s Metropolitan Police said: “Officers arrested a 72-year-old man on suspicion of misconduct in a public office” at an address in north London and he was taken to a police station for questioning.
Police did not name Mandelson, in line with British police practice, but the suspect in the case was previously identified as Mandelson.
