“You’ve all stopped landing. We’re on the moon,” said Will Cogan, Firefly’s chief lander engineer.

The straight and stable landing made Firefly the first private company to land an aircraft Spacecraft on the moon Without breaking or falling. Some governments working on spaceflight have failed in the past, with only five countries – Russia, the United States, China, India and Japan – succeeding.

About half an hour after landing, Blue Ghost began transmitting images from the surface. The first photo was a selfie somewhat obscured by the glare of the sun.
