Chicago raises hotel taxes to fund Chicago tourism marketing campaign

Let’s be honest here: Who are the Democrats running Chicago that he would likely appoint to woo the Democratic National Committee? Probably exactly the same people who make their political ads.

But don’t worry, the consultant class will do very well in this deal, as Choose Chicago offers them taxpayer-funded perks to bring to their conferences, which also pays the tax that goes directly back to giving them the perks.

If Chicago gets the DNC, I’ll probably be there, my company paying new hotel taxes while I chat over expensive suits and sip expensive martinis. But if I wanted to take my son for a week, it would be more expensive.
It’s the same old story with the Democrats, always taking money from hard-working Americans to hand out to their friends, and now, everyone who visits Chicago can contribute.
