The left’s concept of governance seems to be to make everything essentially free for the poor and immigrants, show some sympathy for the wealthy, and hold the ever-shrinking middle class to the bill.

But don’t worry, the consultant class will do very well in this deal, as Choose Chicago offers them taxpayer-funded perks to bring to their conferences, which also pays the tax that goes directly back to giving them the perks.

If Chicago gets the DNC, I’ll probably be there, my company paying new hotel taxes while I chat over expensive suits and sip expensive martinis. But if I wanted to take my son for a week, it would be more expensive.

It’s the same old story with the Democrats, always taking money from hard-working Americans to hand out to their friends, and now, everyone who visits Chicago can contribute.
