Solange Tremblay, a veteran crew member of Jazz Air Flight 8646 operating for Air Canada Express, was found alive on the tarmac still strapped into her seat after the plane crashed on March 22, according to her daughter, Sarah Lepine.
In fundraising Appeal on GoFundMeLibin posted a picture of her mother in the hospital.
“My mother was aware of all of this and suffered serious injuries from this event,” the fundraiser said. “She continues to fight and recover in a hospital in New York.”

“My mother’s injuries include two broken legs (open fractures) requiring… Multiple surgeries “Metal plates are needed to repair the damage to her legs,” the statement continues. “She sustained a spinal fracture as she continues to wait to see if surgery is required.”
Libin added that there are more surgeries coming up for her mother, and she is asking for donations to help. The GoFundMe had raised more than $133,000 from more than 2,200 donations as of Sunday afternoon.

“Right now, our biggest fear is the risk of infection, which could lead to other horrific complications if her wounds become infected,” Lepine added. “Right now, my mother needs your help. She is in New York for the foreseeable future for her recovery as she remains in constant fear of sustaining more damage than she has already suffered.”

“The flight attendant seat is like a jump seat that folds down and is bolted to the wall, which is the same wall that the cockpit uses,” said Guzzetti, a former federal crash investigator.
