All eight Louisiana inmates who escaped from East Carroll Parish Prison have been arrested

The last four escapees captured — Looney, Slaughter, Brogan and Vicknair — were transferred Saturday to Louisiana State Prison in Angola, Louisiana, where they joined the five other inmates who were arrested, state police said.

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Morrell praised the efforts of law enforcement, calling their work “remarkable.”

“Thank you to LAStatePolice and to all the sheriffs and local law enforcement partners for their outstanding work in quickly recapturing the escapees from the Riverbend Detention Center,” Morrell wrote in a letter. Share X.
