Thune claims Republican voters’ anger over the Save America Act is a paid campaign

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton ended up in a virtual tie with Cornyn, headed to a runoff specifically Republican votersNot just in Texas, but across the country, they are outraged by the inability of the GOP-controlled Senate to do much of anything.

This justified anger is why Paxton’s political play shined in the runoff showdown. If the Senate does that, he said Pass the Save America Actand the provisions of voter ID, he would have withdrawn, to save the president Donald Trump Of having to pounce with decisive support.

For Cornyn, more importantly for the Senate Majority Leader John ThuneRD, This has created a crisis, a much-needed crisis, in fact, as GOP voters across the desk stare at Senate leadership, like the Pope family in “office space,” and wonder, if they can’t pass a bill with massive popular support, what are they going to do there?

Thune on Monday responded to growing public calls to pass the Save America Act in the most stupid and infuriating way possible, by asserting that voters aren’t really angry, that the anger is just a campaign by paid influencers.

The fact that Thawne hasn’t apologized for this yet is unbelievable. It’s as condescending to working-class voters as anything any politician has ever said.

Does Thune think that 60% of Texas Republicans voting against the status quo in the Senate is a sign that they think he’s doing a great job?

not so.

Across the country, Republican voters tell me they feel bad about the Senate. Yes, they understand the mysteries of the 60-vote filibuster. They don’t care. They want and need action from a body that refuses to act.

And Paxton is not the only one who knows deep down how important GOP voters need this Winning the Save America ActIt is also Trump, who has shown a rare degree of patience in dealing with Thune’s incompetence and recklessness. At least for now.

Morning Glory: Texas may be the key to saving Trump’s second term agenda

Even Cornyn has changed, if only in the face of his potential political demise, writing a column in the New York Post calling for Procrastination that will be abandoned And the verb to be passed.

But Theon, with his long, sad face and his sad, low voice like Eeyore’s donkey, goes on saying: “We have no Votes to break the filibuster“.

Well, John, how about this: Any Republican senator who refuses to vote to break the filibuster loses their committee assignments, gets no money from the party and is promised a primary.

The most dangerous thing I’ve heard from GOP voters in Texas, and I’ve heard it from many, is that they’re starting to think that their votes don’t matter, that nothing can be changed anyway. Now who will argue with them?

I don’t know who Thune surrounded himself with and who told him that the anger I’m seeing everywhere from Republican voters is just paid influencer campaigning, but I would urge him to talk to some actual voters instead of his cronies on K Street.

It was an ominous sign that more Democrats than Republicans voted in last week’s deep-red Texas primary, but not surprising, since demoralized voters are not motivated voters. If the Save America Act dies, fewer people will feel compelled to vote.

There is no direct evidence to show that Samuel Beckett was inspired by it Republican leadership in the Senate When he wrote this, but he could have done it, because it’s the same old scene, over and over again.

If nothing else, Thune should look GOP voters in the eye and say directly: “We hear you. We know you’re angry. We see it in the primary results, and we will listen to what you want and try to do better.”

Right now, Thune and Senate Republicans are like an unsuspecting spouse who doesn’t know that divorce papers have already been filed. It may not be too late to resolve the issue with voters, but it is very close.
