WWE Royal Rumble: Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan leave Saudi Arabia as title contenders

Liv Morgan and Roman Reigns won the women’s and men’s division Royal Rumble matches in a row They will now be able to set their goals and choose which tournament they will follow in the next three months.

For Morgan, her win is the culmination of an epic comeback from the injury that sidelined her for most of the second half of 2025. She and Raquel Rodriguez captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on “Monday Night RAW” after WrestleMania 41. But shortly after, Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder. He kept her out for five months until she returned to Survivor Series: WarGames.

Morgan needed to put her friendship with Rodriguez aside to win the Rumble. She eliminated her stablemate Judgment Day on her way to victory. Morgan, the returning Tiffany Stratton and NXT star Sol Rocca were the final three to try to win the match.

Stratton eliminated Rocca, who tried to climb to the top rope for a stunner. Morgan then hit a modified Oblivion Kick, eliminating Stratton and getting the win.

Morgan will face either Jade Cargill or Stephanie Vaquer for their titles. However, Fakir has a title match against Rodriguez on Monday.

Reigns entered the men’s Royal Rumble match at number 26 and eliminated five other competitors to win the match. He was among the final nine in the match with Logan Paul, Jevon Evans, Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Guenther, Jacob Fatu and Penta.

Drew McIntyre, who defeated Sami Zayn to retain the WWE Undisputed Championship earlier in the night, hit Rhodes with a Claymore as he struggled to get back into the ring. Rhodes fell to the mat and was eliminated. Afterwards, Reigns took care of Fatu while Fatu was distracted by the events between McIntyre and Rhodes.

Reigns took care of Uso after the tag team champion speared “The Tribal Leader.” It came down to Reigns, Orton, Paul and Guenther – who had already defeated AJ Styles earlier in the night and presumably ended his WWE career.

Reigns and Guenther were the last two wrestlers standing. The two fought hard and tried to avoid getting over the best they could. Reigns flipped Gunther to the edge of the ring and delivered a finishing blow, but it was countered.

In the end, Reigns would hit Gunter with a spear and throw him over the ropes for the win.

This was the second Royal Rumble win for Reigns.

Reigns will face either McIntyre or CM Punk for the title. Reigns and Punk were in a triple threat against Seth Rollins at a show Wrestlemania last year.
