Jason Buck, a former FBI analyst, said the story of the evidence collected in the case should be filtered through the lens of Gracie’s grieving family.
“Spanish authorities have ruled his death accidental. Surveillance footage reportedly shows him walking alone toward the water. An autopsy indicates drowning. It is believed the man who was arrested with Jimmy’s phone simply found him in the street,” Buck told Fox News Digital. “Spanish investigators cleared him of involvement and charged him with illegal possession of stolen property. His wallet came back intact: cash, cards, ID, it’s all there…which Spanish police say supports the conclusion that he was not targeted.”
He continued: “His gold chain, which he was wearing in the last known photo of him alive, has not been recovered. This may not mean anything. The breakwaters are unforgiving and the currents are strong.” “But families cannot grieve visibly when questions still remain. We hope that the Spanish authorities have already sat down with the Grassi family in private and informed them of all the details.”
