Two people were arrested Wednesday after a shooting killed a 15-year-old and injured two others, in what police described as a gang-related shooting at Eisenhower Park in the US. Long Island in New York.
The Nassau County Police Department said the shooting happened around 8:20 p.m. near Hempstead Turnpike and Merrick Street.
Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Rader told reporters that gang members saw an invitation on social media to attend a barbecue in the park, according to CBS New York.

Two people then got into an argument and shots were fired, Ryder said.
Three people, including a 15-year-old boy, were injured by gunfire. The three victims were taken to a local hospital where the teen was Declared dead.

The other two victims were listed in stable condition, and Rader said they underwent surgery late Wednesday. Their ages were not immediately known.
Two people carrying weapons were arrested. Police did not reveal the identities of the suspects or specify the charges they might face.

The shooting continues Under investigation.
After the shooting, officers flooded the area. Patrol cars were seen lining the roads and a police helicopter was seen flying around the park as officers investigated the incident.
