Trump issues profanity-laced ultimatum to Iran over Strait of Hormuz

president Donald Trump She sent a profanity-laced message to Iran on Sunday, indicating that the United States would target the regime’s power plants and bridges on Tuesday if the Strait of Hormuz was not reopened.
“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day, all rolled into one, in Iran,” Trump said. Read the post. “There will never be anything like it!!!”

Trump on Sunday told Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst that he believes he will be able to close a deal with Iran by tomorrow, the deadline the president has set for Iran to reopen the Strait.

“I think there is a good opportunity tomorrow, and they are negotiating now,” the president said.
Trump said that if Iran fails to reach an agreement, “you will see bridges and power plants collapsing all over their country.”
He added: “If they do not reach an agreement quickly, I am thinking of destroying everything and seizing the oil.”
Iran has blocked passage through the narrow waterway, which is crucial to global oil trade, since the beginning of the war to use it as a bargaining chip. Iranian interference in the strait has significantly obstructed the movement of oil tankers along the waterway, causing global oil prices to rise.

On Saturday, Trump posted a reminder to Iran about the 10-day deadline to reopen the Strait, writing: “Time is running out – 48 hours before hell descends on them.”
The president has previously issued such threats before extending them when mediators claimed progress toward ending the war on acceptable terms.
