The three were arrested on Wednesday at separate locations across London.

Despite this claim, officials have not officially classified the case as terrorism. The Metropolitan Police said counter-terrorism police were leading the investigation.

Police in UK Two other men, aged 45 and 47, were arrested in the days following the attack. They were later released on bail, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Commander Helen Flanagan, head of London’s counter-terrorism police, said in a statement: “I want to stress that the support we have received from the local community since this attack has been amazing, and we will continue to work closely with local police colleagues to do everything we can to keep the public safe.”

The Metropolitan Police did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
